Coca-Cola launches Summer Sprite Cold Lyrics Series

Lil Yachty, Vince Staples, DRAM, Vic Mensa, Kamaiyah and Kap G are all teaming with Sprite for the soda’s summer ad campaign that will cover its cans and bottles with the up-and-coming rappers’ lyrics. The “Summer Sprite Cold Lyrics Series” is the third installment in as many years of similar programs for the beverage. But where the past years’ cold-inspired (or at least cold-referencing) rap lyrics were more backward facing towards hip-hop’s past, this version is the first initiative solely based in the genre’s present. Dunkin’ launching new promotions to perk up afternoon coffee sales

New coffee offerings from McDonald’s and Burger King have been winning afternoon java drinkers away from Dunkin’ Donuts, Dunkin’ CEO Nigel Travis said at a conference this week. To accompany the chain’s existing promotions such as $1.99 Frozen Coffee, Dunkin’ also plans to roll out fresh beverage deals to entice customers this year. (Read More)


Dunkin’ Donuts Opens First Location in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas

Dunkin’ Donuts has opened a new location inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas in partnership with leading travel industry retailer Hudson Group. This new restaurant marks the first Dunkin’ Donuts ever to be opened in a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and will serve as the brand’s 27th restaurant to open throughout the state of Nevada. (Read More)

Time Warner inks $100M deal with Snapchat to win back millennials

Time Warner announced it will provide content for Snap in an advertising and content mash-up worth $100 million. The deal involves a two-year agreement that will have Time Warner using its Turner, Warner Bros, and HBO brands to provide short pieces of original programming for the Snapchat messaging service. Time Warner will now be able to advertise their movies and TV shows on Snapchat, which puts the media giant in reach of cord-cutters who may not be aware of new content. (Read More)


Nike’s set to open official Amazon storefront

Amazon will begin selling Nike through its brand registry program, following a Goldman Sachs analyst note that said Nike is “close” to selling directly on That’s a massive change: Nike products, of course, are already available on Amazon through other resellers, which are unlicensed. Citing “channel checks,” the Goldman analyst wrote that this would be an important opportunity for three reasons: Economic exposure to Amazon’s massive retail scale; control over how its brand is presented; and access to the millennial cohort.
