OMNI HOTELS & RESORTS NAMED AS FLAG FOR NEW HOTEL AT VIKING LAKES
Omni Hotels & Resorts announced its newest hotel with Omni Viking Lakes Hotel, a four-star, full-service hotel located in the Viking Lakes development in Eagan, Minnesota. Omni joins MV Eagan Ventures; Ecolab; the Davis Family of Cambria; and Viking Lakes Hotel Physician Partners as ownership partners of MVE Hotel, LLC.

The 14-story Omni Viking Lakes Hotel will feature 320 finely appointed guest rooms inclusive of 14 suites. Dallas-based private equity firm Sweat Equities will be leading the financing. The firm focuses on health and wellness consumer goods with a particular emphasis on food and beverage, and was founded in 2017 by Charlie Sweat. He’s a respected and renowned food entrepreneur and operator himself with a 16-year tenure as CEO of Earthbound Farm, the largest organic produce and specialty salad provider in North America. During Charlie’s tenure, sales grew from $10 million to over $550 million as the company gained a 65% market share of organic produce in the United States and expanded its business operations internationally to Mexico, Canada, Chile, and major metropolitan areas across the European and East Asian markets. In 2014, Charlie led and completed the sale of Earthbound Farm to WhiteWave Foods for approximately $600 million.
We’re also very proud to be partnering with Mike Hudson, another extremely strategic Arkansas-based investor. The Hudson family founded and sold their multi-generational, family-owned chicken and turkey production operation to Tyson Foods in the late 1990’s. Growing the business to over $1.5 billion in sales, Hudson Foods became the fifth largest U.S. poultry producer with tremendous distribution across mass and club grocery (e.g., Walmart and Sam’s Club) as well as national restaurant chains (e.g., McDonald’s and Boston Market).

IHG & LAS VEGAS SANDS EXPAND PARTNERSHIP
In 2010, AXW facilitated the partnership between Las Vegas Sands and IHG, which resulted in The Venetian entering into an alliance with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts. We are thrilled to see the program has evolved and now extended to The Venetian Macau and The Parisian Macau. In addition, The Londoner Hotel in Macau will join the alliance when it opens in 2020 following the renovation of the current Holiday Inn Macau Cotai Central. The partnership extends through to 2027 at all five properties. (Read More)
FESTIVAL NAPA VALLEY RAISES RECORD SETTING $2.6 MILLION AT ARTS FOR ALL GALA
As part of the annual Ten Best Days of Summer, Festival Napa Valley raised a record-setting $2.6 million at its Arts for All Gala on Sunday, July 14, 2019. Proceeds from the event provide free and affordable access to Festival concerts, arts education programs for thousands of public school children, and scholarships for emerging musicians.
The top bid of the night was $450,000 to attend an intimate private concert at The Napa Valley Reserve by 19-time Grammy Award-winner Tony Bennett.
